Gabrielle Connell
Gaby has worked with clay for over 12 years, honing her skills in ceramics during her time studying Contemporary Crafts at Falmouth University and working for various potters across London and Bristol.
Having successfully launched a shared pottery studio in Bristol in 2021, she had her sights set on a new creative and collaborative venture, something she had dreamed of doing when she first got into pottery. Opening up a community centred ceramics cafe!
When Gaby creates her own work, she focuses on smooth and ergonomic shapes that combine neutral and earthy tones with a lightly speckled stoneware.

Izzy Mae Makes
Izzy first came into contact with clay while studying Art and Design at City of Bristol College, where further exploration into creative mediums took her on to Falmouth University to study Contemporary Crafts, where she also first met Gaby!
After specialising in more sculptural and slip cast ceramics during her degree, Izzy took the time after studying to focus on her throwing skills, wanting to explore both form and functionality.
She is inspired by traditional terracotta pottery styles and when creating her own work, combines her favourite blue/green glazes with the deep iron-rich red of high fired terracotta.

Francesca Dourado
Francesca Dourado is a ceramicist with a deep love for clay and a passion for creating by hand.
Her journey into pottery began in late 2022, when she decided to explore a lifelong curiosity and rekindle the joy she once found in clay as a child. In 2023, she left her career as a Makeup Artist to fully commit to ceramics, completing a seven-month residency in India where she worked on a traditional kick wheel—an experience that profoundly influenced her approach to making.
Francesca is especially drawn to the potter’s wheel, captivated by its grounding rhythm and the graceful forms it brings to life. In 2025, she appeared on The Great Pottery Throw Down, further enriching her creative journey. Drawing inspiration from the rich, earthy tones of nature, she handcrafts each piece with care. Francesca often creates small-batch collections, with many pieces being one of a kind—celebrating the beauty of individuality and the charm of handmade imperfections.
