Tuesday Mornings - 10am to 12.30pm

Our 7 week throwing and handbuilding course is the perfect all rounder introduction to working with clay for total beginners. The throwing part of the course includes learning different techniques such as wedging, centering, shaping, throwing cylinders, bowls and working with different tools to create a variety of different forms. The handbuilding section will consist of learning different techniques such as coiling, pinch pots and slab building. You will also learn different glazing techniques using colourful underglaze and glazes in the final week of this course. By the end of the course you will have a selection of beautiful ceramics to take home with you.

Please note - there is a weeks break in-between week 6 and 7 to allow for pieces to be fired.

• Very important to have trimmed nails.

Collections, Cancellations and Refunds: 

• You can come collect your pots usually just a couple weeks after your course ends. Please note, we only hold on to your pots 3 months maximum after.

• We can also arrange for your pots to be posted to you for a fee starting at £6.50. Please email us with your address, photo of your pot and the date and name of the course you attended.

• We have a 14 day cancellation period - we do not do refunds or re-schedule within 14 days prior to your course.

• If you can’t make a session you can always book onto one of our self-directed sessions for £20 to make it up. Contact us by email to arrange a self-directed session.

• Participants must be over the age of 18.

Our 7 Week Introduction to Throwing course runs for 7 weeks with a break in-between week 6 and 7 to allow for your pots to dry and fire.
