Learn to throw on our potter’s wheels

A craft workshop with a long wooden table set with clay modeling supplies, including clay balls, tools, and small bowls. A mural of vases with plants and stars decorates the wall, and a dark wooden cabinet with plants and art supplies is against the wall.

We provide a range of experiences for you to enjoy where you can learn the art of pottery. Families, groups of friends or solo creators of all ages and abilities can book onto our handbuilding sessions! Some examples of what you can make include a plant pot, bowl, mug, salt pig or even a dazzling butter dish. For our younger participants they can create anything from a cute unicorn bowl to a wacky alien with googly eyes. For unders 5s, we provide a ‘play with clay’ experience where they can get messy with clay and get their first taster into pottery.

For those wanting to push the clay experience a little further, we offer ‘throwing on the wheel’ sessions for up to 3 adults, where you can learn from an experienced tutor the art of centering and throwing shapes, cylinders and bowls.

We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to your session, so you have plenty of time to grab a coffee or drink from our cafe, and get settled into your pottery experience.
