Learn to throw on our potter’s wheels
For those wanting to push the clay experience a little further, we offer ‘throwing on the wheel’ sessions for up to 4 people, where you can learn from an experienced tutor the art of centering and throwing shapes, cylinders and bowls.
We also run several evening long courses for handbuilding or throwing for complete beginners or improvers, so you can increase your pottery skills with more indepth learning and tutelage and create an array of beautiful pieces.
We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to your session, so you have plenty of time to grab a coffee or drink from our cafe, and get settled into your pottery experience.

Throwing on the Wheel
This 2 hour experience is ideal for anyone who is curious about pottery and wants to learn the basics of throwing on the wheel. You'll be guided by a friendly and experienced instructor, who will show you how to centre, shape, form cylinders and bowls. The class size is a maximum of 4, so you can throw solo or book for two to four people which is perfect for a couple, friends or family!
