Our 4 week handbuilding course will be taught by Izzy and is perfect for total pottery beginners!

You will learn different techniques such as coiling, pinch pots and slab building. You will also learn different glazing techniques using colourful underglaze and glazes in the final week of this course. By the end of the course you will have a selection of beautiful ceramics to take home with you.

Week 1

By using pinch pot & coiling techniques you will learn how to make vases, jugs and decorative handles.

Week 2

Using a selection of our molds you will learn the skill of slab building. Some examples of what you can create includes plates, soap dishes, wall hangings & butter dishes.

Week 3

Project week! Using the techniques you have learned, you will explore your new handbuilding skills and create a series of pieces.

Week 4

Learn the art of glazing! Using our specialist glazes you will learn how to brush on glaze and experiment with different layering techniques to get beautiful results. You will also have the option to use our under glazes to do more illstrustrative detailed work on your creations.

Please note –there is a weeks break in-between week 3 and 4 to allow for pieces to be fired.

• Very important to have trimmed nails

• Please be aware we do not offer makeup sessions for missed classes. If you cannot attend the glaze session (week 4) you can book onto one of our ‘Come Back & Glaze’ 2 hour slots to catch up within the same month.
